How Does It Work?
Surveillance cameras along with motion detectors are installed at strategic
locations around the premises. These motion detectors cover the same area
as the cameras so should movement be detected in the protected area an
alarm is generated which in turn is transmitted back to our 24 hour Remote
Video Receiving Centre.
From our NSI Gold CAT II ARC our team of highly skilled SIA licensed
operators pick up the alarm and footage of the incident is displayed. From
this footage the operator is able to determine the cause of the activity on site.
Should an intruder be detected an audio challenge can then be issued
warning the person to leave site or the police will be called. The operator
continues to monitor the situation whilst the sites keyholders are called and
if required – police attendance requested.
A full audit trail of the incident and the operators actions along with footage
is securely stored on our servers in line with the Data Protection Act 1998 and
NSI requirements. This can then be accessed by the customer at any time via
our secure webportal.
Why Remotely Monitored CCTV?
- Can offer substantial cost savings over employing a static guard on site –
up to 80% year-on-year after installation costs. - Quite often CCTV is only used post incident, by this time should a fault be
present on the system it’s too late and any evidential footage of the
incident is not available. Potential issues with the CCTV system can be
highlighted to the site and system maintainer for immediate action.

What is the range of the cameras vision, night and day/ black or colour. We would want circa 30/40m minimum?
